Dorota Myślińska, Ph.D.
 

Dr Dorota Myślińska graduated in biology from the Faculty of Biology, Geography and Oceanology, University of Gdańsk; has been working at the University of Gdańsk since 2001; PhD in biological sciences (2005). Current research topics: 1) influence of damage and stimulation of limbic structures on parameters of the immune system, behavioural changes and gene expression in the brain, 2) changes in neuronal, immunological and behavioural activity and cardiac work in the course of induced inflammatory processes (immunization), 3) therapy of neurodegenerative diseases, 4) therapy of ischemic stroke.  

Head of NCN, SPUB and 3 BWUG grants, contractor in 8 KBN/MNiSW, NCN and NCBiR grants. Head of the Laboratory of Experimental Animals of the Department of Animal and Human Physiology, Faculty of Biology, University of Gdańsk. Vice-Dean for Cooperation and Development of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Gdańsk from 2019-2022, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Development from 2023, Member of the Senate of the University of Gdańsk (from 2019).  

Scientific societies: Federation of European Neuroscience Societies, Polish Society for Nervous System Research, Polish Society of Neuroendocrinology and Polish Society of Physiology. Member of the Local Ethical Committee for Animal Experiments in Bydgoszcz (until 2015) and the Animal Welfare Advisory Panel.
